Purpose: For classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL), programmed death-l (PD-1) is a well-recognized attractive target. This multicenter, single-arm, phase 2 study evaluated the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab, a humanized high-affinity IgG4 monoclonal antibody against PD-1, in Chinese patients with relapsed or refractory cHL. Purpose: Bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) proteins play important roles in transcriptional regulation relevant to cancer pathogenesis, and therapeutic targeting/inhibition of BET causes apoptosis of cancer cells in vitro. In this first-in-human study of the pan-BET inhibitor mivebresib (ABBV-075) the safety profile, maximal tolerated dose (MTD), and recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) were determined in patients with advanced solid tumors. Experimental Design: A 3+3 dose escalation for different...

We sought to test the hypothesis that head and neck cancer (HNC) patients with a higher ratio selectively benefit from intensive therapy. Experimental Design:We analyzed 2688 patients with stage III-IVB HNC undergoing primary radiation therapy (RT) with or without systemic therapy on three phase III trials (RTOG 9003, RTOG 0129, and RTOG 0522). The immune function within the tumor microenvironment has become a prominent therapeutic target, with tumor-associated macrophages (TAMS) playing a critical role in immune suppression. We propose an 89Zr-labeled high-density lipoprotein (89Zr-HDL) nanotracer as a means of monitoring response to immunotherapy. Methods: Female MMTV-PyMT mice were treated with pexidartinib, a colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) inhibitor, to reduce TAM density. The accumulation of 89Zr-HDL within the tumor...

For each participant, binding...
Background: The incidence of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) has been rapidly increasing. Disease stage and smoking history are often used in current clinical trials to select patients for de-intensification therapy, but these features lack sufficient accuracy for predicting disease relapse. Clinical drug resistance to platinum-based chemotherapy is considered a major impediment in the successful treatment of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2) signaling pathway regulates the oxidative stress response, and in many cancer types, the high constitutive expression of NRF2 leads to proliferation and chemoresistance. Ginsenoside Rd (GS-Rd) is the main active component of ginsenosides. Here, GS-Rd was found to inhibit the proliferation...

Abnormal activation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is complicated in the tumor progression of multiple cancers including human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and, therefore, serves as a potent therapeutic target. In this study, we identify that C188-9, a small-molecule STAT3 inhibitor, exhibits an antitumor effect on HNSCC in vitro. C188-9 significantly inhibits cell growth, arrests cell cycle at G0/G1 phase, and induces apoptosis in HNSCC. Besides, the...

Aberrant activation of Ras is common in several human cancers, including cervical cancer. In this study, we show that Ras function can be inhibited by zoledronic acid (ZA) owing to its ability in inhibiting protein prenylation. The molecular mechanisms of ZA’s action were analyzed focusing on prenylation and its downstream signaling pathways. ZA inhibited...

The expression of hsa_circ_0092125 in OSCC tissues and cell lines was determined by reverse transcription-quantitative PCR analysis. The association between hsa_circ_0092125 expression and clinicopathological data was determined by χ2 test.
