Enzymatic Conversion of Cypridina Luciferyl Sulfate to Cypridina Luciferin with Coenzyme A as a Sulfate Acceptor in Cypridina (Vargula) hilgendorfii

Cypridina luciferyl sulfate is converted to Cypridina luciferin by Cypridina (Vargula) sulfotransferase with 3'‐phosphoadenosine‐5'‐phosphate (PAP) as a sulfate acceptor. In this study, we demonstrate that CoA, 5'‐AMP and 3'‐AMP could be used as sulfate acceptors from Cypridina luciferyl sulfate. The sulfated products of CoA, 5'‐AMP and 3'‐AMP are confirmed by mass spectrometry.
