Correlation of tumor burden in sentinel lymph nodes with tumor burden in non-sentinel lymph nodes and survival in cutaneous melanoma.: CONCLUSIONS: In patients with CM who undergo CLND, SLN tumor burden predicts non-SLN tumor burden. SLN tumor burden parameters provide accurate prognostic stratification independent of non-SLN status and should be considered for incorporation into future staging systems and integrated risk models.
